Current public website
The public citation and formatting tool does not set first-party cookies or load advertising, analytics, or third-party cookie scripts. It saves an optional working draft in your browser’s local storage. You can remove that draft with Clear draft or your browser’s site-data controls.
Source lookup and hosting
A lookup sends a source identifier to this site’s server. The server may contact the public source website or metadata provider. This site does not send your essay to those services. Your hosting provider may use technical mechanisms required to deliver and protect the site; review its configuration at launch.
Future services
If the site owner adds analytics, advertising, embedded content, or preference cookies, this notice must be updated to name the services, their purposes, and relevant choices before enabling them. Where the law requires consent, that must be implemented before non-essential tracking begins.
Your choices
You can manage local storage and cookies through your browser. Removing this site’s local storage deletes the saved citation and essay draft on that device. For questions, use the Contact page or email [email protected].
